Window Treatments
Natural light in the home is very important to buyers. Newer homes are built with larger windows, for that very reason. Whether your home has large windows that flood the space with light or smaller windows with limited natural light your window treatments play an important role in selling your home. Assignment:
Visit model homes, this time to take notice of the lack of window coverings. Model homes purposely don’t cover the windows, allowing the natural light to flood into the homes. Valances & Cornice Boxes:
A valance runs along the top of a window and helps dress it up. It may be used in with or without another window treatment. A cornice box is similar idea, but is typically used as decorative piece that conceals the rod on which drapery hangs. They are generally custom made in variety of materials, from stained or painted wood to fabric-covered. Benefits: - Allows you to hide curtain rods.
