Cleaning Your Home For Sale

Your house must be clean and shine. Cleaning your home for sale is mandatory, however at this point you may be exhausted from staging your house to sell, and who wants to do a deep clean now, especially if you have children, pets, and a full time job. You may want to hire a professional service for the initial big job. You can also work along side of them to keep the cost down. This enables you to really get on top of it in one fowl swoop.

  • Wash windows inside and out
  • Wash window screens
  • Clean out cobwebs
  • Polish chrome faucets and mirrors
  • Clean out the refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave
  • Have carpets professionally cleaned
  • Vacuum daily
  • Wax floors
  • Lemon oil kitchen and bathroom cabinets
  • Wipe down baseboards
  • Dust furniture, ceiling fan blades and light fixtures
  • Bleach dingy grout
  • Clean and air out any musty smelling areas. (If you can smell it you can’t sell it.)

Keep It Simple:

In each bathroom keep a small plastic carrier those convenient cleaning supplies, so you can quickly do a run through. If you have thoroughly decluttered, this will make cleaning easier.
